    A new day is dawning,
    A day filled with sun,
    With birdsong and flowers,
    And laughter and fun.

    T'was hard to imagine,
    A brief year ago,
    Just where I was heading..
    or how far to go...

    But now with such gladness
    Inside of my soul
    A new day is dawning,
    And it makes me feel whole.

    Such freedom surrounds me,
    And fills up my heart
    A new day is dawning -
    And it's only the start.
